Cousin is a small, independent print magazine project based in Salt Lake City. This page explains, in plain language, what information cousinmag.com collects and what we do with it.

What we collect

Email address — if you sign up to hear about print releases and parties.
Name, email, and (optionally) phone number — if you submit a story or a cover photo and choose to attach your name to it.
A photo you take — only if you use the "capture a cover" feature and explicitly choose to share it with us. The camera preview itself is never recorded or uploaded; nothing leaves your browser unless you tap "Share with Cousin."
A story you write — only if you use the "share a story" feature and submit it.

What we use it for

To get in touch with you about Cousin Magazine — print releases, events, and parties — and, only for content you actively submit, to consider your story or photo for use in the magazine or its promotional materials.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your information with third parties. We don't run advertising trackers or analytics on this site. The only outside service this page loads is Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces you see here.

Where it's stored

Submissions are stored in a private spreadsheet accessible only to the Cousin team.
